Division I Athletic Communications Associate

I currently am an Athletic Communications Associate for the NJCAA. I assist with and maintain NJCAA historical archives, provide graphic design assistance for sports specific content including national rankings, players of the week, statistical leaders, significant matchups, sport schedules, national awards, and national championships. I manage the Division I communications effort for NJCAA sports throughout the year including national rankings, players of the week, statistical leaders, national awards, national championships, weekly statistical leaders, record-breaking performances and former NJCAA student-athletes at four-year or professional level. I oversee the NJCAA national rankings platform and serve as a contact for voting committees for all Division I sports over the duration of the sports year, which includes compiling weekly statistical reports for national rankings. I travel to national championship events while serving as the national office contact on-site, assisting with statistics management, streaming production and/or championship logistics. I aid in external and internal communications through public press releases, including association-wide news and feature stories.

My duties included posting a variety of content on my personal social media accounts in a way that represents what it takes to be a Woman in Sports while generating revenue and business for the brand.

Clemson Football, Baseball and Basketball with CUTigers.com
Social Media & Communication Intern

​Clemson, SC

​I was an intern for CUTigers.com conducting interviews, taking pictures/videos and writing articles for Clemson's Football, Basketball and Baseball teams. Whenever I was not in class, I attended every open football, basketball, and baseball practice and/or media days, fall/spring camps, tournaments, regular season games, as well as pre and post-season games. I have worked major events such as the ACC Championship in 2018, the ACC Football Kickoff in 2019, the ACC Championship in 2019, and the 2020 National College Football Playoff National Championship. For football, I stayed on the field for pre-game and post-game activities and interviews. For basketball I sat on the court for the first half of the games for pre-game activities as well as post game activities and interviews. For baseball, I sat in the dugout for the majority of the games for pre-game and post game activities and interviews. I post all interviews on CUTigers’ YouTube channel, as well as video snippets, pictures, updates and highlights on my personal Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages. I have 9 articles and they are all published on CUTigers.com (the links are in the "articles" section at the top of the page).

​Beyond Sports Network for Clemson University’s Non-Profit Leadership Program
Social Media Marketing Student Intern

​I took part in a six-week project for Clemson University’s Non-Profit Leadership Department that required me to choose any Non-Profit program in the country to market and create social media posts to advertise for. Beyond Sports Network is a non-profit program that holds camps, clinics and combines for youth, high school, and collegiate athletes throughout the United States every year. The most well-known event that BSN holds is their National Scouting Combine every year for college football players that were not invited to the NFL’s National Scouting Combine. I created social media posts, flyers, and advertisements that marketed for multiple camps and clinics put on by Beyond Sports Network, as well as BSN’s 2019 National Scouting Combine that took place that April. I also created a 45-page Strategic Social Media Plan for Beyond Sports Network that showcased all of the different social media posts that I created. BSN did not actually use any of these posts since it was all for a project, but I kept in close contact with the founder of BSN throughout the duration of my project so that I could use real and accurate information that their program gave me.

Charlotte Knights (AAA) Minor League Baseball

​I worked for the Charlotte Knights Triple A baseball team as a guest services representative and receptionist. My job duties included: greeting guests in person and over the phone, providing administrative support to front office staff members, assisting guests with questions and providing information, assisting in vendor relations and set up of game day concourse, supporting the promotions staff with contest registration and prize distribution, managing check-in for pre-game activities (first pitches, Dream Teams, National Anthem, etc.), resolving guest issues, providing general administrative support to ballpark staff, etc..  ​

​I am currently the Social Media and Marketing Manager for Coastal Escape Rooms in Surfside Beach, SC. I run multiple social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I run the Coastal Escape Rooms website, as well. I use Coastal Escape Rooms’ social media accounts as well as my own personal social media accounts to promote their business. I control all advertising and partnerships, as well.

I worked for Alliance Sport Marketing as an event coordinator. My job duties for this internship included: planning and coordinating of sponsorship campaigns in a variety of different states, planning and booking travel arrangements, contacting and working with venue coordinators, marketing research and data entry projects, traveling to events and marketing various campaigns, preparing professional recaps of each event for clients, creating PowerPoints and presentations for clients, and photography.

I completed small and large tasks including re-writing and re-organizing webpages, emails, and letters. The biggest project that I completed on my own (with editing help and approval from my bosses, of course) was creating a brand new website for Clemson University’s Office of Scholarships (https://www.clemson.edu/financial-aid/types/scholarships/).

The Cam Newton Foundation

I attended a 7 on 7 tournament for the Cam Newton Foundation. I helped run the Twitter page for the C1N 7v7 teams by posting videos, pictures, score updates, game updates, and tournament updates. I was planning on helping with the 2020 C1N 7v7 season as well, but the season unfortunately was cancelled due to COVID-19. ​
